Keat
Keat started practising yoga on the mat in 2014 after giving birth as she wanted to find the “most convenient form of exercise without bringing a lot of clothes or shoes to change” while balancing between work and family commitments. Since the pandemic, she started to practise more regularly and was amazed that there was so much internal energy that could be generated within the mat. After each good yoga practice, she felt refreshed and full of energy for the remaining day. As a result, she continues to explore and challenge her own practice as she believes that yoga can improve not just strength, flexibility and concentration, it can also bring about a more balanced and peaceful mind.
In 2022, she pursued her 200 hours Hatha and Vinyasa Teacher Training with Hee Boon in Pure Yoga, to further enlighten her yoga practice. She also took on a 30 hours Continuing Education Training (CET) on Alignment with Sandy in Pure Yoga. She is deeply motivated by the teachers and their knowledge beyond asana practice. She believes that this is only the beginning of her journey as a teacher and hopes to pick up more skill sets in future to enrich her teaching experience. Yoga is a connected community, so we never stop learning on and off the mat (Niyama), and we never stop sharing with one another (Yama).
